"I was a youth in the pathfinders program due to my probation requirements, while being involved in the pathfinders program my mentor worked diligently to always make sure that I had everything I needed whether it be clothing, food, a way to my job or my probation officer’s office. While working with pathfinders not only did my mentor make sure it was fun but the others did as well. Being with pathfinders has taught me some very valuable lessons that I now use and see myself using. One of the lessons that I was taught and use is evaluation- that may not have been the name of the lesson but it was what I learned through the course, I say evaluation because sometimes I would have to look at the lesson from a different stand point or a different point of view in order to see the correct decision to make, lastly while working with pathfinders I have earned a numerous amount of certificates and I worked my way off of probation earlier then expected. Using the lessons I learned while working with pathfinders is helping to keep me out of trouble and I am forever grateful to the staff that work with pathfinders ”
